Why is the toilet paper so expensive?
Bleacher report is reporting that one of the most common reasons why people can’t afford toilet paper is the lack of supply.
According to the Wall Street Journal, there are over 3 billion disposable paper towels in the world, but there are only approximately 1 billion of them in the United States.
That means one out of every three Americans can’t buy toilet paper.
Toilet paper prices are actually a big problem for the United Kingdom as well.
According the Wall St Journal, British households have a $5,000 limit on how much disposable paper they can buy per month.
That’s almost $5 a day per household.
That doesn’t sound like a lot, but it can easily lead to people running out of disposable paper to use.
And if you’re in a place like New York City, it can also lead to some of the biggest disasters in recent times.
